Just 5 km away from Fluco's workshop, is the traditional calf leather manufacturer Perlinger. We are not only neighbors, but also related and share a passion for high-quality leather. Perlinger invented naturally shrunken calf leather, which is now considered the benchmark for quality worldwide - even if it has unfortunately not been patented.

The factory has existed for decades and is the last calf leather company in Germany that maintains the craftsmanship to the highest perfection. Their commitment to quality and tradition has led to their leather being highly valued throughout the industry.

Fluco only uses the best Togo leather, also known as Fjord leather. This leather stands out due to its excellent feel and exquisite "Made in Germany" workmanship.

As soon as you pick up the strap, you immediately feel the softness and comfortable grip of the leather. Many other Togo leather straps are either too stiff or too soft, but our Togo leather has the perfect texture for a watch strap thanks to decades of experience.

Unlike many so-called Togo leather products, which often consist of embossed cowhide, our leather is naturally shrunk and not artificially embossed. Perlinger uses a secret process to ensure this quality.

Fluco uses Zermatt leather from the renowned Haas tannery as lining leather for the Deauville straps because it is characterized by its exceptional quality and durability.

Zermatt leather is particularly skin-friendly because it is vegetable tanned and has a smooth, even surface. It is also color- and dimensionally stable, which makes it perfect for everyday use. Thanks to these properties, it is ideal as lining leather, as it not only feels comfortable on the skin, but also supports the longevity of the products.
