The Autochron Mecaquartz Orange translates the strongest visual signature of the 2026 collection into an accessible, highly wearable chronograph. Its architecture traces back to the experimental Autochron concept of the late 1970s, conceived as an unusual combination of motorsport timing and robust sports-watch functionality. The dial begins in matte black before shifting into a saturated orange gradient. Beige CD-track subdials, luminous markers and contrasting orange chronograph accents create an instrument-like display with unmistakable vintage-racing character. The 38 mm vertically brushed 316L stainless-steel case is surrounded by the collection's new 120-click aluminum bezel, while a double-domed sapphire crystal and 20 ATM / 200 m water resistance add everyday durability. Power comes from the TMI VK67 Meca-Quartz chronograph with date, combining quartz accuracy with the tactile character and sweeping chronograph action associated with a mechanical stopwatch. Nivada Grenchen's existing Autochron Meca-Quartz material describes this architecture as pairing quartz timekeeping with mechanical chronograph feel.
