Silver Mezuzah Necklace

The silver mezuzah necklace is hand made in Turkey by one of the few remaining Jewish families in Istanbul. Available in a variety of different styles. Each mezuzah comes on a 20″ sterling silver rolo or wheat chain.

The Torah tells Jews to affix mezuzahs to their door posts to remind them of God’s presence and commandments in their daily lives. An actual mezuzah is a handwritten parchment paper housed inside a protective case affixed to the Jewish doorway. The mezuzah is said to protect the Jewish home. While only symbolic, mezuzah jewelry is also said to offer protection to those who wear it. Many mezuzah pendants have the either the Hebrew letter shin or the word Shadai written on the front, Shadai being an acronym for “Guardian of the doorways of Israel.”
